WELLPOINT BECOMES COCA-COLA’S HEALTH PARTNER FOR 2018

Coca-Cola International (CCI) chose Wellpoint as its Turkey health partner for 2018. We are in charge of the health of Coke’s employees now! The 28-strong Wellpoint CCI Team, consisting of physicians, nurses, HSE experts and other healthcare professionals, met with CCI and Wellpoint executives on February 24 and 25 in an orientation meeting held in Istanbul. The 2018 operating year was started with the motto “to your health!”. Our President Özgür Turgay gave the start for the 2-day event during which our marketing director made a presentation on the Group and our human resources manager gave an orientation lecture. Wellpoint Senior Workplace Physician Dr. Egemen Altuntaş made a presentation titled “Ergonomics first” and Wellpoint Academy Director Burak İnal another one on “Accident Root Cause Analysis”. Guest lecturer CNN Turk Editor Şafak Altun gave a speech on “What do we do and why?”. CCI officials provided examples from the famous KORE Program illustrating the company’s international approach to workplace health and safety. This collaboration with Coca Cola, a company that is conducting the most efficient programs in HSE over the world will be a great contribution to Wellpoint’s experience in the industry.
